herstory.

In December 2021 we began to research the Regional Health Equity Coalition (RHEC) Model and grant opportunity with Oregon Health Authority. In April 2022, after months of discussion and research, we voted to put together a grant proposal from the South Coast Equity Coalition to become a Regional Health Equity Coalition.  We then secured grants from Allcare and Advanced Health CCOs to fund the outreach and development work to begin to build the structure of the new for the Coalition. United Way agreed to be the Fiscal Backbone for the new Regional Health Equity Coalition. Our Leadership Council then formed in Spring 2022 comprised of community partners from Coos Hispanic Allies, Southern Oregon Coast Pride, the Coquille Tribe, and the Tolowa Dee Ni’ nation, and others.
