Thriving Communities Mini Grant.
The South Coast Health Equity Coalition’s Thriving Communities Mini-Grant serves as a seed grant to support community-driven programs, spaces, events, and initiatives that advance health equity. This funding is designed to empower historically underserved and underrepresented communities by fostering culturally relevant solutions to address systemic inequities and improve health outcomes and well-being.
Funding Focus
The mini-grant supports activities that promote health equity through:
Community programs and events
Creating or enhancing community spaces
Capacity-building efforts
Community education and engagement
Policy and systems change initiatives
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
A fiscally sponsored group
A Tribal Nations
A culturally specific or community-based organization
Goal
The Thriving Communities Mini-Grant is designed to enable organizations across Coos and Curry Counties to create meaningful, equity-centered opportunities that help community members achieve their highest potential for health and wellness. These efforts aim to dismantle barriers related to race, ethnicity, language, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, immigration status, socioeconomic status, and other socially determined factors. By supporting community-led initiatives, the South Coast Health Equity Coalition seeks to build thriving, inclusive communities.
