The South Coast Health Equity Coalition Scholarship Fund is dedicated to supporting financial literacy, vocational training programs, and further education for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) individuals, including those who identify as BIPOC-LGBTQIA2S+.
Our Purpose
The South Coast Equity Coalition acknowledges Oregon's historical connections to racism and the systemic inequities embedded in its educational policies. This scholarship aims to empower underrepresented populations in Coos and Curry counties by increasing access to education and fostering student success.
Who We Support
"People of Color" includes individuals from the following racial or ethnic communities:
American Indian/Alaska Native
Hispanic/Latino/a/x
Asian
Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander
Black/African American
Middle Eastern/North African
Mixed-race individuals
Other racial or ethnic minorities
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
Affirm their identity as part of the BIPOC community.
Reside in or from Coos or Curry counties.
Provide proof of enrollment in or acceptance to a college or vocational program.

There are no limits on the amount you can apply for—we encourage applicants to request the funding they need.
