Scholarship Fund

The South Coast Equity Coalition Scholarship Fund aims to support financial literacy, vocational training programs/fees, and furthering education for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) including those who identify as being a BIPOC - LGBTQIA2S+.


The South Coast Equity Coalition recognizes Oregon's deep-rooted connections to racism and an education system created from discriminatory policies. SCEC's goal is to increase student success for underrepresented populations across Coos and Curry counties. 

People of Color is defined as members of the following racial or ethnic communities: American Indian/Alaska Native; Hispanic/Latino/a/x; Asian; Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders; Black/African American; Middle Eastern/North African; Mixed race individuals; or Other racial or ethnic minorities.

In order to qualify, you must (1) affirm you are part of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community, (2) live in Coos or Curry counties, (3) provide proof of enrollment in or acceptance to a college or vocational program.
