I am a proud Latinx Indigenous person who is the child of a migrant mother.  In early childhood, I benefited from the public health clinics in Texas for much of my healthcare needs. My other parent had recently discharged after returning from Vietnam. I remember having what we needed but apparently, we were low income. I advocate for my community and other marginalized community members. Every child and their family is entitled to equitable, culturally and linguistically appropriate access to services to protect/promote social, emotional, behavioral, mental and physical health in order to thrive.
