Kelcy Szetela

Hi, I’m Kelcy Szetela (she/her), and I currently serve as the Chair of the Equity Leadership Council. My work is rooted in building authentic relationships, reducing barriers, and working toward equity in how we show up with and for one another and our communities.

As a Community Partnership Coordinator with the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), I focus on outreach and engagement that is trauma-aware, culturally responsive, and guided by lived experience. I believe meaningful systems change happens when we listen deeply, honor community wisdom, and create spaces where people feel safe, seen, and empowered to help shape solutions.

Equity, inclusion, and belonging guide my leadership. I’m proud to support and collaborate on community efforts such as Pride in the Park and the annual South Coast Diversity Conference (Courageous Conversations), which celebrate resilience, identity, and community care.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking for my loved ones and spending time being creative. Painting and photography are ways I express myself and find joy, balance, and inspiration.
