Darielle Aya Koffi-Plebou
Hi! I’m Darielle Aya Koffi-Plebou, but most people know me as Aya. I serve on the South Coast Health Equity Coalition’s Leadership Council, where I help support community-centered leadership and equity work. I’m also involved in the South Coast Equity Coalition, the Marshfield High School Black Student Union, Speech and Debate, Z-Club, and JROTC, and I serve as a Leading Petty Officer (LPO) with the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
Outside of my leadership work, I enjoy playing musical instruments, writing, drawing, painting, reading nonfiction and poetry, and spending time with my pets. I listen to a wide range of music, including 90s hip-hop, R&B, rock, and indie. I’ve been fascinated by space and astrophysics since I was 5, and after high school I plan to pursue a career in the Air Force, Coast Guard, or Marines, with the long-term goal of becoming an optical or aeronautics engineer and eventually working for NASA.
