Alex Alonso is the Director of Climate Resilience at NeighborWorks Umpqua, where he works alongside communities across rural Southern Oregon to advance housing stability, energy efficiency, and climate-resilient homes. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Alex identifies as Mexican-America and is a strong advocate for working class and marginalized communities. Alex earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Oregon. His work centers equity, collaboration, and practical solutions that improve health, safety, and long-term outcomes for households and communities most impacted by systemic barriers.
